Activating Keywords for Sign-up

After logging in go to the collect contacts button on the top navigation, then click on create a new signup mobile keyword located in the collect contacts dropdown menu. In the mobile keyword field you will enter your own unique mobile keyword, after you enter into your keyword the system will tell you if it has been taken or not. Next select the distribution list you would like contacts to be added to. If you don’t have any distribution list yet simply click on create a new distribution list and fill out the given fields. Distribution list is the name you see and is not displayed to your users Display name is the name of your distribution list that your users will be able to see, monthly message frequency lets your users know how many messages to expect per month, list description describes the purpose of each message to your user whether it be alerts, promotions, deals and so on and so forth, once you are done click on save.

Next in the autoresponder box click on the auto-response message you want to send out to each user who texts in your mobile keyword. There is a 135 character limit; this limit also includes your header which is your organization by default. If you like you can edit this name by clicking the change header box. Editing the header and clicking the arrow icon to the right, checking the keyword followed by a message box allows users to send in optional message when texting in your mobile keyword by typing in your keyword, adding a space and then the message, which will go straight into your inbox. In the next follow on message option you can choose to send up to ten follow on autoresponder messages after each keyword signup.

Checking the data capture checkbox will allow you to collect additional information for your subscribers set as first name, last name and email address. After that you can set how often to send an auto-responder; every time a user texts in the keyword, only once per mobile number or customize it to be sent once every given time interval like every minute, hour, day, month or even a year.

Next under alternative message, you can choose to create an alternate text message to be sent automatically to the user if he or she text in the keyword again and lastly you can choose the system send you a notification with a text message or email whenever a person text in a mobile keyword, take one last look at your settings if everything looks good click the blue create button to start your mobile signup keyword campaign.
